SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Most livestock auctions are closed the week of January 1-5, 2018.
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs 0.20 higher at 46.48. 
Sows on Monday: live price 300-450 lbs 34.62; 450-500 lbs 37.53; 500-
550 lbs 38.29.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  Corn was steady to 1 cent lower; elevator bids 
3.38-4.02, processor bids 3.93-4.33. Soybeans were 4 to 7 cents higher; 
elevator bids 9.02-9.10, processor bid 9.55, and export at 9.55. New crop 
wheat was mostly 1 cent higher; elevator bids 3.60-4.36.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.36 
higher at 78.86.
